Vintage 1960s SPHINX signed and numbered HEDGEHOG PORCUPINE Brooch Pin
This adorable brightly polished gold tone cutie has ruby red crystal rhinestone eye's. The pin is marked SPHINX 9339 on back.
The pin is in great condition and clasp mechanism works perfectly.

SPHINX JEWELRY COMPANY was founded in 1948. Located in the Chiswick district of west London. The company was known for producing well-made, quality constructed, beautifully designed costume jewelry which often looked like "real" jewelry.
SPHINX made jewelry for many well-known companies, including Kenneth J Lane, Butler & Wilson, Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus.
SPHINX ceased operation in the 1990's.
